You’re ready to advance, accelerate, or switch your career entirely. You’ve researched the benefits of graduate school, determining that a master’s degree program will be the most effective way to progress. Or, perhaps you haven’t gotten quite that far yet and are interested in learning how a graduate degree could provide you with more career opportunities. Wherever you are in your journey, an open house can help you take the next step.
On Oct. 29, we will open our campus doors during our Fall Open House. Before joining us for this free event, learn how to get the most out of attending.
The Benefits of Coming to the Northeastern University Arlington Open House
Stopping by the drop-in event is much more than seeing the physical environment where you’ll learn (although that’s part of it). It’s an opportunity to bring the programs you’ve read about online to life and to help determine if a school is the right fit for you.
You will have the opportunity to meet various members of the university community. Engaging with these faculty members, current students, and advisors will give you a more informed idea of graduate degree options and essential real-life details. There’s no better way to know if a program is right for you than hearing from students already going through the courses.
The event will also help you discover student support resources. At Northeastern University in Arlington, for example, education is holistic. That’s why we offer various student services, including co-op and career advising, wellness support, and student interest groups.
How to Prepare for an Open House
A little preparation goes a long way. To start, you should register for the event. Registration takes just a few minutes and allows us to provide you with the information you need more effectively.
Give yourself plenty of time to arrive on the day of the drop-in event. The event window is two and a half hours (from 4:30 to 7 p.m.). You can arrive anytime and stay as long as you need to get to know the university, spend time in the classrooms, and interact with faculty, staff, and students. It’s okay not to know everything. Come with a list of questions you want answered, and be prepared to ask them so that you can have all of the information you need to determine if Northeastern University Arlington is the right place for you.
