On October 26th, Northeastern University’s newest campus in Arlington, Virginia held their first monthly student engagement social.

Located in Rosslyn, Virginia on the Metrorail Blue Line, Northeastern’s Arlington campus can be easily accessed from downtown D.C., Capitol Hill, the Pentagon, and locations across the National Capital Region. Arlington is connected to the National Capital Region by 11 Metrorail stations, numerous local and regional bus routes, and over 100 miles of biking and walking trails.

Arlington offers a wide variety of reasons to join the ever-growing city. From the endless excellent restaurants, a community with a lower crime rate than two-thirds of the country, access to Washington, D.C., and a wide variety of entertainment, Arlington presents unique opportunities you will not find anywhere else.

With over 200,000 people populating the area, diversity is a top priority for Arlington. Individuals of all ages, gender identities, cultures, and nationalities.

The campus is very excited to be hosting social networking events to such an inclusive community with career-oriented individuals.

This month’s social was held at Assembly, only a three-minute walk from campus.

“Assembly is a modern FOOD HALL and all-day gathering place that seamlessly weaves together caffeinating, dining, lounging, working, meeting, and entertaining. Assembly was created to encourage connection and to bring people together with amazing food from cultures around the globe.”

Prospective students spent an evening socializing and networking with the campus’s faculty and staff and Northeastern University Alumni based in Arlington and Washington, D.C. Enjoyed for two hours with tasteful food and beverage served to registrants and guests.

Assistant Director of Student Recruitment & Enrollment, Marcus Marin, hosted the evening and spoke with students one-on-one, pointing them in the direction of respective alumni and program-specific faculty.

Topics Included:

  • Program offerings which can be found at
  • Northeastern alumni’s experience and career outcomes following graduation.
  • Northeastern Arlington’s Cooperative Education opportunities, which allows students to alternate semesters of academic study with periods of full-time work. Students can transform work across academic and professional contexts due to this cornerstone experiential learning program.
