Building an Android Chess App – From Class Project to Interactive Game
As part of a hands-on mobile development course, I created a fully functional Android chess app that brings the classic game to life on a phone. Players can compete against a friend or challenge the computer using a custom-built engine. To make the app even more engaging, I integrated Stockfish, a powerful chess tool, so users can review their games and see how to improve. This project gave me the chance to work on everything from game logic to front-end design, showing how a class project can grow into a complete, interactive app.
